Virastan is the only sanitizer containing Protectene – a plant based all natural, alcohol free sanitizer completely free of genetically modified organism (GMO. It has been tested in world renowned laboratories, including those working with World Health Organization, to instantly kill over 170 deadly pathogens.

The Process

Protectene is made in the United States by subjecting unique plant material to a proprietary process under specific pressure and temperature conditions. It is colorless, odorless, washes easily and does not stain. It both heat and light tolerant. It has long shelf life and does not change color over time. Unlike alcohol, it does not evaporate and has a persistence effect unlike other sanitizers.

History and Approvals

Protectene was developed by engineer Dr. Arthur V. Martin in the early 2000s based of more than 4 years of research and development. The ingredients used to make Protectene are United States Food and Drug Administration “FDA” Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) approved. It is exempted by the Environmental Protection Agency “EPA” as it is non-toxic and also listed in the United States Pharmacopeia undergone successful USP-51 (Antimicrobial Efficacy Test) testing as a disinfectant/sanitizer. It is also exempted from the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) food additive tolerance requirements. It is also “Kosher”, “Halal” and “Organic” certified.

It is also approved by the New Zealand EPA as a “non-rinse” sanitizer for use in the food industry. It is listed and approved similarly in many Asian countries and registrations in China and India are pending.

Protectene works by attaching itself to the virus, weakening its walls and inhibiting its ability to take up amino acids, which are considered a basic building block. This forces the virus to clump together, in the process killing themselves almost instantly.

Mode Of Use

Protectene is all natural, alcohol and GMO free. It is safe if swallowed and may be used by all age groups in all stages of life. It can be safely used with pets.

It may be safely sprayed on the face (except into the eyes). It may be sprayed into the into the air and sanitize the air and surrounding areas. It may be used as a natural surface and airborne sanitizer.
